Mission Ministry

For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works,

which God prepared in advance for us to do.  (Ephesians 2:10)

St. John is an active congregation, serving those in need through a variety of missions and activities.  Following are just a few of the ways that we share our gifts and answers God's call to 'do good works'

Salvation Army & Churches United for the Homeless - St. John serves the evening meal at these facilities the first Sunday of every month.  Contact Allan Peterson at 282-4644 if you are interested in volunteering

Community Food Drive

Please bring non-perishable food items or cash donations to St. John on the first Sunday of every month for the F-M Food Pantry

Refugee Resettlement Program - St John provides material and service support to refugees resettling in the Fargo-Moorhead area.

The 2007 Walk was held on March 25th and 20 walkers from St. John participated in the walk, raising nearly $2,000.  Total money raised in the F-M Walk this year is expected to be around $22,000.

For more than 32 years, CROP Walkers have been walking with the world. We walk with neighbors who walk to soup kitchens and food pantries to get food they need to survive. We walk with the world...in Africa, where more persons will die of AIDS over the next decade than have died from all the world's wars in the 20th century. We walk because they walk -- millions of people around the world walk every day for food, for shelter, for water, for survival.
